Crumby browser.

Although a real chromeboy now, I still feel kinda guilty how quickly Firefox was ditched when something more shiny came along. Here's a Firefox add on with really interesting functionality; it allows the user a breadcrumb view of a website, offering the names of other pages on the same level and even allowing the naming of pages. Hopefully coming to Chrome soon…

Heavy load?

As some people don't have Gmail, here's a quick and easy way of sending any size files online.

Homer's new startup DuShare is a web service that is completely free to use. It initiates a direct transfer of a file on your system from you to the recipient.

  • You start by specifying the file on your computer. Optionally you can password protect the file.
  • Next, you will see a peer link that the site has generated for the file’s recipient.
  • When the recipient visits the site’s homepage he can choose the “Claim File” option and use the peer link to initiate the transfer.

The transfer process is executed completely within the web browser. Moreover there are no file size limits and you can even chat with the file’s recipient during the transfer. Your conversations and files are not accessible by the DuShare team and remain strictly between you and the file recipient.
